Subjects:

  • We tutor all subjects listed below, but our areas of greatest demand are entrance tests, 11+ and 13+ common entrance, and scholarships.
  • From the age of 4 or homeschooling: any of the subjects listed below.
  • Special needs: private tutoring can be of particular value to students with special educational needs or SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) issues. Many such pupils find the distractions of a modern classroom overwhelming, and working with a private tutor allows them to progress at their own pace in a private and familiar environment to perform at their best, with opportunities for sensory regulation and breaks. We are experienced at supporting pupils with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, slow processing and working memory problems, as well as those with ASD/ADHD and dyspraxia, and physical disabilities including sensory impairments. We also work with home-schooled and EOTAS students.
For some students, Functional Skills or Foundation Level GCSEs have also been the best option. These limit the possible achievable grade to an equivalent Grade 4/5 respectively on the 9-1 system in Maths and English, BUT? we have expertise in teaching these subjects. The quality of teaching in statutory provision varies widely; many SEND departments in state schools are overwhelmed with demand, and this is growing across the country.
