Meet our tutors

  • Qualifications and experience: between us, we have bachelor’s degrees from Oxford, Cambridge, the LSE, Toronto and ???, as well as master’s degrees from Oxford and Cambridge and a PhD from University of London. In addition, our tutors have either taught are or currently teaching at schools and have collectively over 20,000 hours of tutoring experience.
  • Special needs: we specialise in all types of special needs whether for children at school or home educated. (See Subjects for details).
  • Tutoring platforms: our tutoring is predominantly online (we use Zoom and Microsoft Teams but can happily to use other platforms if Zoom and Teams are restricted in your country). Our preference is to send all homework and attachments by email and to organise lesson times by Whatsapp or Telegram.
  • In person tutoring: if convenient, we can also tutor in person. A tutor’s DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate is mandatory for this.
  • Tutoring two pupils at a time: the tutor will likely charge an extra 20% per hour. If two pupils at a time does not work, the tutor reserves the right to stop the lessons.
  • Selecting the tutor: a tutor will be personally selected for the client, and we will be very frank in assessing the level of the child and evaluating how realistic the parents’ goals are. Wherever possible, we prefer to have male tutors tutoring boys and female tutors tutoring girls.
  • Extra-curricular activities: tutors can organise trips to museums, for example.
